I was born and raised in Chicago and moved out to Northern California 12 years ago, having never thought that I would use my artwork in any commercial capacity. It was something I did for myself and others. One could even have called it a hobby. Originally, my plan was Dental School, however, early experience in that field resulted in a change in path and I went to nursing school, graduating with a biology degree.

I have loved art from the moment I could pick up a pencil and have been painting ever since. Something about being alone with your canvas, paint, and music is relaxing. I feel lucky that I understand how creating art makes you feel. I feel even luckier that I can turn this into a career, helping others see their own beauty. Having the need to be creative has given me the opportunity to expand my artistic outlets. Photography enables me to see a side of people, places and things that few people have the chance to enjoy.

Taking pictures is something I used to do for fun. It has only been in the last few years that I have turned my hobby into a career pursuit. The family vacation, an outing, or even a birthday party have been the primary places for a shoot. This has evolved to helping friends with their events, which helped me realize that this is what I wanted to do as a profession.

I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys, who are my best subjects. They are always willing to stand for a shot, smile when asked, and participate in my photographic experiments. I love to laugh, relax and enjoy every moment behind the camera. This is something that should be fun for everyone involved.

"Turning images into memories," a passion for capturing moments that help memories last a lifetime is my motto. Confucius once said, "Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life." I realized that what gave me the most joy was spending time behind the camera, rather than in-front of it. I have a passion for helping family and friends turn images into lasting memories. Let me do the same for you and your family! Let me work with you and your family to create portraits that capture important milestones and intimate moments in time. Together we will create a backdrop that will let the essence of your family's character shine.
